Hello! This is a page about our little jaunt across Canada. You can find out a bit more about it, and us, in the ‘About’ section of the menu. But this is where you will, hopefully, be able to keep tabs on our progress across the country.
We’re leaving the UK on Wednesday May 3rd, heading for Vancouver, where we will be spending a couple of days eating, drinking and seeing the sights. This is a honeymoon, after all. We’ll be collecting the canoe and some kit, before heading north to Squamish for a few days rest, relaxation, and general kit explosion. From there, we’ll be heading east towards Rocky Mountain House, hoping to start paddling around May 13/14th. We’ll check in here in the meantime, and as much as possible during the trip. Full blog posts might be rather irregular, but we’re hoping to use a nice little GPS gadget to update our route map and give some brief snippets. More details to follow (when we’ve worked out how to use this site…).
Right now we’re rather wallowing in post-wedding blues (it was pretty ace) and a not-quite-finished house renovation.
But tomorrow we pack, and get ready for our next adventure…
